- Salt Spray, Mold, Dust, and Shock Resistance: The transformer body is coated with TW32-4 silicone-based anti-corrosion paint, and the shell base features rigid shock-resistant connections.
- Product Diversity: Includes single-phase, three-phase, combination three-phase transformers, and offshore platform transformers.
- High-Voltage Windings: Available in both epoxy casting and VPI processes; small-capacity low-voltage transformers use combined windings for enhanced mechanical strength.
- DuPont Nomex® Insulation System: Excellent fire resistance and high insulation class.
- Full Marine Classification Certification: Certified by leading classification societies, including CCS, ABS, BV, DNVGL, LR, KR, RINA, NK, and others.
Why CEEG?
CEEG LV/MV Marine Transformers combine robust mechanical design with advanced insulation technology to power the world's vessels. From commercial ships to offshore platforms, our units offer versatile configurations (including Cast Resin and VPI) protected by DuPont Nomex® insulation and TW32-4 anti-corrosion coating. Designed for extreme resistance against salt spray, dust, and vibration, and certified by major global bodies like CCS, BV, DNVGL, ABS, LR, RINA, and NK, CEEG transformers guarantee safe, uninterrupted power distribution in the harshest marine conditions.

CEEG Phase-Shifting Marine Rectifier Transformer
Since 2008, drawing on expertise from leading HV/LV inverter manufacturers such as Siemens, ABB, and Fuji, CEEG has developed 12-pulse and 24-pulse phase-shifting rectifier transformers, specifically designed for marine power propulsion systems. The primary operating principle involves a primary delta connection (D) and two secondary outputs—one in delta (d) and the other in star (Y)—to achieve a phase shift of ±7.5°, enabling effective 24-pulse rectification and significantly reducing harmonics.
Superior Performance of Nomex® Insulation
CEEG is a strategic partner of DuPont for Nomex® insulation paper. Nomex® offers a range of superior performance benefits:
It features a low dielectric constant and high dielectric strength. In dry-type transformers, it withstands higher electric field drops, making the insulation system more efficient.
Classified as Class C insulation, Nomex® can operate continuously at temperatures up to 220°C. With transformers designed for Class H insulation (operating at up to 180°C), Nomex® provides a significant heat tolerance margin.
It does not release toxic or corrosive gases at temperatures up to 750°C.
At 220°C, the LOI (Limiting Oxygen Index) is greater than 20.8%, meaning it will not support combustion.
In environments with 95% relative humidity, Nomex® maintains 90% of its dielectric strength as it would in fully dry conditions.

Operating Environment
Ambient temperature: -25°C to 45°C
Relative humidity ≤ 95%
Ship swinging angle ≤ 22.5°, tilt angle ≤ 15°
Conditions include condensation, oil mist, salt spray, and mould
Vibrations and impacts caused by transformers
