Case Studies

  • For world-leading iron ore producers like Rio Tinto, the stability of the power supply is the backbone of production. The mining industry presents a unique set of engineering challenges: equipment must endure heavy dust accumulation, frequent load fluctuations from heavy machinery, and strict safety protocols regarding fire hazards in confined or remote environments. Rio Tinto needed a partner capable of delivering transformers that offered high overload capacity and impeccable safety records, all while adhering to stringent international compliance standards. CEEG provided the solution.
  • For top-tier system integrators like ABB, the requirement is not just a voltage converter, but a marine drive transformer capable of "absorbing" harmonics and purifying the grid. CEEG's answer to this challenge is advanced Phase-Shifting RectifierTechnology. Our expertise is built on years of collaboration with global leaders. CEEG leverages extensive experience cooperating with Siemens, Fuji, and ABB. We began developing 12-pulse and 24-pulse rectifier transformers in 2008, supplied marine dry-type transformers to ABB in 2008, and became an official qualified supplier in 2012.
  • In a testament to its specialized engineering capabilities, CEEG successfully delivered the HKSSPZ-13000/15 special voltage regulating furnace transformer to Saint-Gobain in 2024. This project goes beyond a simple product delivery. It represents a comprehensive power solution that required deep technical precision and competitive value to meet the stringent demands of modern industrial production.
  • CEEG provided 15 integrated energy storage systems for Israel IEC (Israel Electric Corporation), Afcon, BYD, and NR. IEC. These systems include CEEG energy storage transformers as the core component, as well as our comprehensive integration services, delivering a full set of energy storage solutions to our clients. We also supplied multiple solar-storage integrated systems to South African clients. The systems integrate lithium iron phosphate battery clusters, PCS, isolation transformers, STS, ATS, EMS, and more.
  • The deployment of two SFZ-14000/138 transformers to Leamington, Utah, represents a shift in how utility infrastructure is prioritized. Rather than viewing transformers as simple commodities, this project treats them as the "beating heart" of a sustainable grid. By focusing on three specific technical innovations, the project moves away from short-term fixes toward a 40-year vision of reliability.
  • A prominent U.S. data center provider required a transformer solution that could operate within tight spatial constraints without compromising impedance accuracy or energy efficiency. CEEG’s DuPont™ Nomex®-insulated VPI dry-type transformers, engineered for high-load environments, precisely met these requirements.
  • CEEG is proud to deliver eight oil-immersed transformers, including 138kV, 69kV, and a 50MVA unit, to a major electric distributor in the Caribbean region, in their efforts to upgrade the nation’s transmission and distribution system and received the client's satisfactory performance feedback.
  • CEEG supplied multiple types of dry-type transformers to several 4F-class international airports. We supplied SCB13-1000/10 cast resin dry-type transformers to Beijing Daxing International Airport, the largest single-building terminal in the world with the most advanced facilities. We also provided SG10 VPI dry-type transformers to Beijing Capital International Airport. The reliability and environmental friendliness of the transformers made them stand out in a competitive bidding process.
