CEEG has unveiled the ZPSG-13000/10/0.69*Z7 variable frequency transformer, purpose-built for a variable frequency soft starter project. With an upgraded design, it effectively tackles the challenges of heat dissipation and harmonic losses in high-capacity systems. Boasting a single-unit capacity of 13,000 kVA, the transformer represents another key milestone in CEEG's ongoing innovation.
1. Enhanced Cooling Design The transformer features a ducted air-cooling structure with wind tunnels and expanded airflow channels on the low-voltage side. Its fully enclosed guided ventilation system ensures efficient heat dissipation, addressing the thermal management issues commonly associated with large-capacity transformers.
2. Harmonic Loss Reduction & Hotspot Control During development, the R&D team carefully analyzed the impact of system harmonics on both high- and low-voltage windings. Thermal field simulations were performed to evaluate additional losses and hotspot temperature rise caused by harmonics. These insights guided structural optimizations that reduce local overheating and enhance overall reliability.
3. Structural Design for Efficiency and Strength To improve low-voltage winding performance and maintain impedance balance, a tri-split configuration was adopted for the high-voltage side, increasing energy transmission efficiency. Meanwhile, a dual-screw fixed base and double-press-coil structure enhance mechanical strength, ensuring stable performance in demanding applications.
4. High Capacity and Integrated Features With a remarkable 13,000 kVA single-unit capacity and up to 54 pulse numbers per unit, the transformer also includes a built-in 100 V power source to support stable operation of control circuits.
